Wesley Sneijder could still move to Manchester United

Even more good news for Manchester United fans: Wesley Sneijder has said that a move to the champions is still a possibility, after revealing that he is interested in going there and that there have been unofficial talks between United and Inter, where he currently plies his trade.

The transfer has been rumoured all summer, but there are two problems that have scuppered the deal up to this point: Inter's £35million asking price and his £250,000 per week wage demands. However, it appears that the two clubs might be finding a way to work around these issues, and the Dutchman sounds like he'd be happy to move, given the chance.

'Manchester United haven't made an official approach yet,' said Sneijder. 'There have been unofficial talks, there have been contacts but then there are always contacts. I have contacts with everybody. The situation is that I am now an Inter player and chances are that I will still be that come 31 August. There is also a chance I could leave.

'That isn't really down to me but the club. I think Inter have been very clear: if a good offer comes in, they have to let me go. They don't want to lose me but there is a chance they will let me go. If something crosses my path, I have enough time to make my decision.'
