Wenger: Fatigue could cost United the title
Arsene Wenger has claimed that fatigue could scupper Manchester United's attempts to win their third Premier League title on the bounce. The Arsenal boss made the comments in the wake of United's 4-1 demolition at the hands of Liverpool at the weekend and is no stranger to mind games.
"Some players looked a bit mentally tired" Wenger told reporters also underlining the fact that United took part in the World Club championship in January. "They have played many matches since Christmas and it looked to have caught up with them on Saturday."
The Gunners' manager, however, conceded that the title is United's to lose at this point of the season. "It opens up the race for the title, even though I still believe that United are in a strong position with the game in hand that they still have."
