Arsenal fans can sleep easy in their beds with the news that Arsene Wenger has dismissed speculation that he will quit the Gunners for Real Madrid in the summer.
The rumour mill went wild during the week after Wenger told French television that working with Real would be "strongly interesting". But the Arsenal boss, whose contract runs out in 2011, underlined that he wants to remain at the Premier League club.
"There's nothing to worry about, it's not an issue for me," Wenger told the Daily Mail. "I'm staying here. If that changes I will let you know, but don't worry about that. It's not an issue."
Wenger was said to be extremely cheesed off this week after being openly criticized by Arsenal shareholders during a meeting who questioned the decision to sign Mikael Silvestre.
