Wembley to host 2013 Champions League final

Despite our inferiority to Johnny Foreigner when it comes to playing football, they do owe us a massive debt just for inventing the game. In fact, we could rest on our laurels for another century and still swan around, informing Roberto Continental that without us they wouldn’t ever be able to claim penalties with theatrical diving.

With this in min, Uefa has announced that Wembley will host the 2013 Champions League final, in honour of the Football Association’s 150th birthday. It will the third time in three years that the stadium will host the final, after this year’s final, in which Barcelona beat Manchester United 3-1.

‘There are always many candidates for the Champions League final and the Congress but this is to mark the special year of the English FA,’ said Platini. Which is nice.
