Vidic ain't going nowhere

Nemanja Vidic's agent has moved fast to quash rumours that the Serbian international defender could be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer.

The 29-year-old has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the Premier League, with Juventus the latest club to have their eyes on United's captain.

But the player's agent Silvano Martina has rejected the wicked whispers of a summer departure. On Radio Sportiva in Italy, he said: 'He's a player that everyone wants. I talked to him about a hypothetical transfer and he replied, 'I am the captain of Manchester United, earning well, I've won almost everything ... Why should I go to Italy right now, when Italian football is going through a turbulent period?'

'This response removes any doubt about where his future lies – he stays where he is.'

Certainly sounds definitive, that. Vidic joined the Premier League champions in 2006 and signed a new four year deal only last August.
