Van Nistelrooy rules out Manchester City move

Ruud van Nistelrooy has ruled out a possible move to Manchester City stating that he wants to end his career at Real Madrid. The Dutch striker has been linked to City ever since they were taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group.

'For me it's not very important because I prefer to be at this club, I feel good here,' van Nistelrooy told reporters. 'I've read it, but nothing's been said to me. In England things like this come out. Players think of other things as well as money.'

Asked about the decision of his former Real Madrid teammate Robinho to move to Manchester City, van Nistelrooy admitted that it came as something of a surprise. 'He's always been good, always with the team and the team with him. This is very important. For me it was a surprise because I thought he would go to Chelsea, but it's his decision and I totally respect it.'
