Usain Bolt smashes his own 100m record

Usain Bolt smashed his own world record in a sensational performance in the 100 metres at the World Championship in Berlin last night.

The Jamaican won with in a sensational 9.58 seconds beating the record of 9.69 that he set at Olympics in Beijing last year.

Defending 100m champion came in second with a career best 9.71 but that wasn't enough to match Bolt. Former world champion Asafa Powell claimed bronze with a time of 9.84 seconds.
