Tennis: US Open latest scores

Tracking the US Open and its latest scores online is not a difficult challenge. There are many websites which keep updated accounts of all the matches in all the US Open's competitions (men's singles, women's singles, mixed doubles, etc.).

The challenge comes, however, in choosing the best service, in terms of reliability, ease, accuracy and speed.

The website Protennislive.com is supported by both the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) via their own websites.

If you visit either the ATP or WTA websites (atpworldtour.com and wtatennis.com respectively), you will see the categories of "Men" and "Women" in a white or grey menu bar at the top, which will drop down into lists of all the season's competitions if you hover your mouse over it. Clicking on the "Live Scores" option will direct you to the functions provided by Protennislive.com.

Protennislive.com tracks all games in all major and minor professional competitions including the US Open, recording the latest scores and events with great speed and dependability. The format is, unfortunately, slightly difficult to navigate, thanks to the unclear listings on the ATP and WTA homepages.

The exact same system of links can be found on the tennis coverage of sports site Livescorehunter.com, which again lists all of the latest tennis competitions and has "Live Scores" options connecting to Protennislive.com. On Livescorehunter.com, however, the organisation is much easier to navigate.

Livescorehunter.com also includes links to live video streaming websites which remain unmentioned on the official sites, which can allow you to keep up-to-date with the US Open's latest scores simply by watching the matches online.

Several international and large-scale journalistic media organisations also incorporate live coverage of major sporting events like the US Open.

Perhaps the best of these is that provided by the BBC (news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/default.stm), which often features interesting and amusing text commentaries given by experienced sports journalists alongside score updates.
