United travel to the San Siro to face Inter Milan
With the preliminaries over and done with the Champions League is back tonight with a bang. Manchester United travel to Milan to take on Jose Mourinho's Inter side at the San Siro in what should be a fascinating encounter.
The former Chelsea and Porto boss has an excellent record against Sir Alex Ferguson and has made it clear that his team, which is nine points clear at the top of Serie A, will not fear last year's Champions League winners.
United travel to Italy with something of a defensive crisis. Nemanja Vidic is suspended while both Jonny Evans and John O'Shea are struggling to be fit. So Mourinho predicts that United will play for a draw tonight.
"I don't believe Manchester will come to the San Siro to win, they will play very defensively," the Inter boss said. "I am sure tomorrow nothing will be decided but everything will come down to the return leg at Old Trafford."
If Inter are to win tonight, their mercurial front two of Adriano and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will have to step up to the plate and show that they are not just big fish in the now small pond of Serie A.
