United and Inter draw 0-0 at the San Siro
Manchester United and Inter Milan played out a 0-0 draw in the first leg of their last 16 Champions League tie last night at the San Siro. Sir Alex Ferguson's side dominated the match with Cristiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs going close to scoring an all important away goal.
John O'Shea and Johnny Evans both recovered from injury to take their places in the Manchester United back four, but they had little to do as Jose Mourinho's side struggled to create chances.
The fact that Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar was the home side's best player on the night underlines United's dominance. The teams will meet again at Old Trafford in two weeks time with all to play for.
