United and Arsenal both draw in Champions League
The second night of Champions League action was a bit of mixed bag for British teams. Manchester United played out a 0-0 draw at home with Villarreal, Celtic also had a disappointing draw with AaB Aalborg, while Arsenal got a late equalizer away to Dynamo Kyiv.
Cristiano Ronaldo made his return for Manchester United with his introduction in the second half warmly cheered by the home fans. Unfortunately the Portugal winger was unable to inspire his team to victory against a well organized Villarreal side.
Arsenal travelled to the Ukraine to take on Dynamo Kyiv. Despite starting well, Arsene Wenger's team wasted some good chances and fell behind to a penalty from Bangoura after Bacary Sagna had wrestled Ognjen Vukojevic to the ground. Skipper William Gallas was the hero getting on the end of a Theo Walcott cross with two minutes to go.
Elsewhere Celtic played out a dour 0-0 draw with AaB Aalborg of Denmark. The tie of the night was Fiorentina's 2-2 draw with French champions Lyon which served up some great goals.
