Tottenham love Young Boys

Tottenham Hotspur have been given an excellent chance of making it through to the group stages of the Champions League after being drawn against Young Boys Bern of Switzerland in the two-legged play off that decides who gets their hands on all that lovely money... we mean, gets to fight it out with the big boys of European football.

Best of all for Tottenham, the draw has given them the home game in the second leg, which we all know is a huge advantage in two-legged contests. However, Spurs’ club secretary Darren Eales has batted bat any idea that they will take the games, which take place on either 17/18 August or 24/25 August, lightly.

‘It's not an easy draw,’ he said. ‘For them to beat Fenerbache 1-0 in Turkey is a brilliant result. All five teams are quality sides. It's up to us to prepare for it and get through. We're looking forward to it and getting into the Champions League group stages.

‘Switzerland is not so far to travel, so that's good. And playing at home in the second leg is a bonus. We've got a good chance and a good team, we proved that last season.’
