Torres set for Boxing Day return against Bolton
Fernando Torres could be set for an early return from injury with reports that the Spanish striker could line out for Liverpool against Bolton on Boxing Day.
The former Atletico Madrid forward has only played 16 times so far this season for the Reds after missing the last month with a hamstring problem. But the Liverpool medical team are confident that the 24-year-old will be back in action in the next few weeks.Speaking of Torres, Sammy Lee told reporters that: "Fernando is improving. He has worked very hard with his rehab and the state of play is that he is improving. There was no way that he could have been ready for Arsenal [last Sunday] but, in terms of the Christmas period, then I will just say that his rehab is coming on well."
Although Liverpool are top of the Premier League they have missed Torres up front with Robbie Keane struggling to find the back of the net.
