'Today we won only the semi-final'

Roberto Mancini has said that Manchester City must not assume that they have already won the FA Cup, after the beat Manchester United in the semi-finals at Wembley yesterday.

City won 1-0 at Wembley thanks to a Yaya Toure goal, sending their fans into raptures and making them believe that they could finally win the trophy that they’ve been waiting three decades for. However the Italian wants to guard against complacency, especially given that both Bolton and Stoke know how to give the big guns a bloody nose or two.

We must not forget we play another game. Today we won only the semi-final,’ said Mancini. ‘It's difficult to play against United. They're used to playing this type of game every year. For us, it was the first time after a long time.

‘Maybe we had some fear in the first 20-25 minutes. In the last 10, 15 minutes of the first half, we started to play high, we started to press. In the second half, we dominated the game. I am happy because we had fantastic spirit and we beat a team like United.’
