Tevez: Manchester United have robbed my flair
Carlos Tevez has blamed his loss of flair on the selfless and hard-working role that he is asked to perform for Manchester United. The Argentina striker has only scored once so far this season and is struggling with his form.
Speaking to reporters Tevez said: “I’m not as effective in the area any more. The person up front has to do a lot more for the team than score goals. They have to play more for the team and I think I’ve sacrificed myself recently.”
The diminutive striker blames the style of football in England on his current dip in form: “I’m not as dangerous. That is something I’ve lost. I have to get that back. I used to score great goals. But something strange happened.”
Sir Alex Ferguson doesn't take kindly to players speaking out of turn, so it will be interesting to see how he reacts to Tevez's outburst, especially as the player is still sweating over a new contract.
