ATP world tennis ranking

The ATP world tennis ranking list provides the current top 100 players in the world based upon their recent form in grandslams and tournaments all around the world. It will come as no surprise to most that Novac Djokovic remains top of the world ranking after a great year for the Serbian in which he secured two grand slam titles. All eyes will be on the current number one in the US Open but many will be interested to see if he pulls out altogether after having to unfortunately retired in the Cincinnati final against British number one Andy Murray.

The top four remains the same going into the final grandslam with Andy Murray remaining in fourth position. The Scot is however in a rich vein of form after securing the Cincinnati title which will undoubtedly give him some much needed confidence ahead of the upcoming grand-slam. Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer remain 2nd and 3rd respectively but it's Jo Wilfried Tsonga who has quickly climbed up the rankings jumping six places to 10th. There you have it, officially the top 15 players in the world. The rankings are sure to be shaken up come the end of the US Open with in form players Mardy Fish and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga expected to perform well in Flushing Meadows after impressing in recent months. Many will expect good things from Andy Murray also after a terrific win in Cincinnati, could this be the year where Murray wins his first major?
