Sunderland sign Fraizer Campbell from Manchester United
Sunderland have signed England Under-21 striker Fraizer Campbell from Manchester United for a reported fee of £3.5m which will rise to £6m based on performances.
The 21-year-old striker had been a target for Hull, where he spent the 2007/2008 helping the Tigers win promotion to the Premier League with 15 goals in 32 games, but instead has become Steve Bruce's first summer signing.
Campbell, a product of the United youth system, spent last season on loan at Tottenham as part of the deal which took Dimitar Berbatov from White Hart Lane to Old Trafford.
However, following the arrival of Michael Owen, Campbell has decided that his future lies elsewhere and decided to put pen to paper on a four-year deal at the Stadium of Light.
