Rory Delap inspired Stoke to a 2-1 home win over Arsenal yesterday at the Brittania Stadium all but ending the Gunner's title hopes. Arsene Wenger's side were unable to deal with the Irish midfielder's long throws which proved decisive.
Ricardo Fuller and Olofinjana both scored from set pieces with the Gunners unable to deal with Stoke's physicality and work rate. Fabregas & Co. struggled to break down the Potter's two blocks of four.
To compound matters for Arsenal, Robin van Persie was sent off for a ridiculous foul on Thomas Sorenson while Bacary Sagna, Emmanuel Adebayor and Theo Walcott all came off injured. It was a bad end to a terrible week for Wenger's team.
