Stanford apologises for upsetting England cricketers
Sir Allen Stanford has issued an apology after upsetting England cricketers during their match against Middlesex on Sunday. The billionaire behind the Stanford Super Series was shown flirting with the England WAGs at the ground.
The footage, which was also televised, features Stanford with his arms around two of the players' girlfriends and with Matt Prior's pregnant wife on his knee. The incident is believed to have upset a number of England players who saw the footage on the big screen during their match.
Stanford is bankrolling the $20m event and is given access to off-limits areas such as the players' dressing room. But the WAGs are probably still considered off limits.
