Spurs still hoping to re-sign Robbie Keane
Spurs are still hoping to re-sign former captain Robbie Keane before the transfer window closes at the start of February. Harry Redknapp is believed to have enquired about the availability of the Republic of Ireland striker who moved to Anfield for £20.3m in the summer.
Keane has enjoyed a difficult start to his Liverpool career and was given a further snub by Reds manager Rafa Benitez over the weekend when he was omitted from the squad for the FA Cup tie with Everton.
Liverpool still owe Spurs £10m for Keane and reports in a number of tabloids this evening suggest that the London club are willing to waiver the difference if the Irishman can return to White Hart Lane. Just what Spurs fans will make of Keane's possible return is another matter.
