Spurs' summer spending looks set to continue ahead of the transfer deadline with Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko reported to have agreed a deal to bring him to the Premier League. The 26-year-old Spartak Moscow player is set to undergo a medical at White Hart Lane today.
Pavlyuchenko scored three goals for Russia at Euro 2008 helping his team reach the semi-finals. The rangy forward is said to have agreed personal terms with Tottenham yesterday in deal worth around £12m.
The Russian's arrival should pave the way for Dimitar Berbatov to finally seal his dream move to Manchester United. But it looks like Pavlyuchenko won't be Spurs' last signing of the season with rumours of deals for Klass-Jan Huntelaar and Andrei Arshavin in the pipeline as Juande Ramos' side look to bounce back from a disappointing start to the season.
