Spurs set to cash in on Keane and Berbatov
Spurs look set to cash in on Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane, giving manager Juande Ramos £57m to spend on new players. The Daily Mail reports that the Tottenham boss will use the money to bid for strikers Diego Milito and Roman Pavlyuchenko as well as wide men David Bentley and Diego Capel.
The North London club claim that neither Keane nor Berbatov are for sale, but both players have expressed their desire to leave White Hart Lane. It is believed that the Bulgarian and the Irishman will be allowed to leave for fees of £25m and £18m respectively.
Ramos will replace the wantaway duo with Real Zaragoza's Diego Milito and Spartak Moscow's Pavlyuchenko. The Argetinian, Militio, will cost around £10m while Spartak want at least £15m for Pavlyuchenko.
Blackburn are holding out for a fee of £17m for England winger David Bentley while Spanish Under-21 star Diego Capel won't be allowed leave Seville for less than £15m. All things considered, four new quality signings from the sale of two players, albeit proven Premier League performers, wouldn't be such a bad deal for Spurs in the long run.
