Spurs lose 2-0 to Udinese in Uefa Cup

Spurs start to the season went from bad to worse last night as they lost 2-0 to Udinese in the Uefa Cup. The pressure is now mounting on under fire manager Juande Ramos.

Winger David Bentley was dropped from the squad after declaring that Spurs' start to the season had been 's**t'. But the Premier League's bottom team started well and looked to be in control of the game until goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes had a moment of madness.

The Brazilian failed to control a routine back pass and ended up brining down Quagliarella in the box. Antonio di Natale slotted home the resulting penalty.

Pepe wrapped up the win for Udinese with a late break away goal after Jamie O'Hara had been sent off for Spurs. Time is running for Ramos and his team to turn things around.
