Spurs linked with a move for Patrick Vieira
Tottenham fans should look away now. According to a number of back pages Spurs could be set to sign former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira from Inter Milan. Harry Redknapp is believed to be interested in the 33-year-old who is available on free transfer.
Vieira has struggled with injuries in recent seasons, but according to the Daily Mail he is desperate to play first team football ahead of next year's World Cup in South Africa even if it means having to take a pay cut. Spurs are reported to be offering just a one-year pay-as-you-play deal to the former Gunners captain.
"This is not about money, this is about a chance to play," an unnamed friend of the French midfielder told the Mail. "He has great memories of his time in London at Arsenal but that is in the past. The deal is not completed but he has an open mind. He is not afraid of the challenge from Spurs."
