Spurs beat Blackburn to climb out of relegation zone
Spurs beat Blackburn Rovers 1-0 at White Hart Lane to climb out of the relegation zone for the first time this season. Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko was again on the score sheet, getting on the end of an Aaron Lennon cutback early in the first half.
Things got even worse for Paul Ince's side when fullback Martin Olsson was sent for a second yellow card after hacking down Lennon. The former Leeds's winger had been tormenting Olsson down the right and capitalised on a mistake by the defender to set up Pavlyuchenko's goal.
The win completes a dramatic month in charge for Harry Redknapp, who has managed to lift Spurs out of the bottom three and instil a new-found confidence in players such as Darren Bent, Aaron Lennon and David Bentley.
