Sergio Aguero 'photocopy of Romario' says Roberto Mancini

Manchester City started their Premier League campaign with a thumping win over newly-promoted Swansea City, giving the Welshman a 4-0 hiding, and in the process giving them same the rude awakening that QPR got on Saturday.

The star of the show was new signing Sergio Aguero, who scored twice on his debut – including one absolute scorcher – set up another and generally looked every inch the star player. On this form he could be the player to watch this year, and Roberto Mancini showered praise on him, comparing to Brazilian legend Romario – nice.

'Sergio is a photocopy of Romario, they are the same player,' said the Italian. 'He is not 100% yet but he is going to be fantastic for us.

'It was the perfect start. It was important to start the season very well and it was important to score the goals and score with the strikers. I know Aguero very well but I don't think he is 100%. He played in the Copa America and he needs to do more in training, but I am happy because he scored two important goals.'
