Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos is set to move join Everton according to the Swiss football federation's website. Toffees manager David Moyes is reported to be looking for cover for the injured Phil Jagielka.
Senderos spent last season on loan at AC Milan where he played 14 games. The 24-year-old returned to the Emirates in July but with just one-year left on his current Arsenal contract has decided to leave. The move to Everton will increase speculation over Joleon Lescott's proposed move to Manchester City.
According to the Swiss federation's website, Senderos has decided to join Everton in order to play more first team football ahead of next year's World Cup in South Africa 2010. If Senderos does join Everton he will become the second defender to leave the Gunners within a week after Kolo Toure joined Manchester City.
