Santa Cruz issues come and get me plea to Manchester City
Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz has dropped a bombshell by issuing a come and get me plea to Manchester City.
The Paraguay international has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water, bagging nineteen league goals since joining Rovers from Bayern Munich last season for the bargain basement price of £3.5m.
But speaking to reporters, Santa Cruz issued one of the most blatant come and get me pleas in the history of football: "I am very happy at Blackburn but I like the idea of playing for a team that will be fighting for important objectives. I will keep on doing what I do at Blackburn but if the coach of Manchester City is interested in me I would like to join Robinho in that team.”
Despite signing a new four year deal with Blackburn in August, it now looks like Roque will be lining out in sky blue from January onwards.
