Roque Santa Cruz looks set to make his Manchester City debut in next month's Manchester derby after recovering from the knee surgery he underwent back in April.
The Paraguay striker joined City during the summer for £17m but has yet been able to kick a ball for his new club. The former Blackburn Rovers player is said to be itching to line-out for his new club.
City manager Mark Hughes spoke about Santa Cruz's return from injury following his side's 1-0 win over Barcelona last night: 'We are talking about two or three weeks.'
Hughes continued: 'I don't like to put games as a target because it is difficult to predict but the specialist is really pleased with his progress and I imagine he will be available around the time of the United game, or the West Ham match immediately afterwards.'
