Ronaldo to join Kaka and Ribery at Real Madrid?
The Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid story took another twist yesterday after Florentino Perez spoke about the impact that the Portugal winger could make at Bernabeu. Perez looks certain to be reelected as president of the Spanish giants on Monday and has spoken about bringing Kaka and Franck Ribéry to La Liga.
It had been expected that the election of Perez would bring an end to the C-Ron to Madrid saga as the Manchester United player is associated with former president Ramón Calderón. But based on an interview he gave yesterday, Perez appears open to the move.
"He [Ronaldo] 's also a player that would be very good if he came to Real Madrid," Perez said. "What I know is what I've read, that there is an agreement by means of which he would come for £80m". During his last stint as president between 2000-2006, Perez became famous for signing a big name galáctico every year but now looks set to attempt to sign three of the biggest names in football before the start of next season.
