Ronaldo set to snub Real Madrid?

More good news for Manchester United fans with the rumour that World Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo is set to snub a summer move to Real Madrid.

United secured an 18th record-equalling league title on Saturday against Arsenal and now have their sights firmly set on what would be an unprecedented 19th top flight winners trophy.

With the title in the bag speculation has immediately turned to Ronaldo's future. While a number of papers have reported that Real and United have already agreed a deal which will see the Portugal winger move to the Bernabeu, the Premier League club's chief executive has moved to reassure fans that Ronaldo is going nowhere.

"We made it clear last year he's on a long-term contract with us and it's never come up. He is not for sale," Gill said. "He's a great player and he's part of our club. I'm sure the Spanish press will start rumours and start that whole process going again. But I think we've got to be confident that Cristiano will stay."

But there is no big tournament this summer so expect the Ronaldo to Real Madrid story to run and run until the kickoff of the next Premier League season.
