Ronaldo completes Real Madrid move

Cristiano Ronaldo has finally completed his move from Manchester United to Real Madrid. The Portugal winger will officially join the La Liga club on 1 July for a world record fee of £80m beating the £56m that Los Blancos paid for Brazilian star Kaka a couple of weeks back.

United accepted Real's gargantuan offer for C-Ron back on 11 June, but the La Liga club had to wait until the 24-year-old came back from his holidays in the US, including an alleged night in Paris to boot, before he put pen to paper on a six-year contract.

A statement on the Spanish giant's website confirmed the news: "Real Madrid and Manchester United have signed a final agreement for the transfer of the rights of Cristiano Ronaldo from 1 July." C-Ron is reported to have become the highest paid footballer in the world following the move with an estimated salary of £11m.
