Robinho: Barcelona would make me best in the world

Speculation over the future Brazil striker Robinho is mounting after the 25-year-old claimed that he could become the best player in the world if he swapped Manchester City for Barcelona.

Despite claiming that he isn't pushing for a move away from Eastlands, the British record signing has been repeatedly linked with a move back to Spain over the last few months and his latest outburst will fuel the rumours.

"I'm very happy about the interest that Barcelona have in me, playing in the Nou Camp it is much easier to be the best player in the world than at City," Robinho told Radio Bandeirantes in Brazil. "But I'm not forcing a hypothetical exit from England and neither do I have problems with my coach."

However, the Brazilian could find himself surplus to requirements at Eastlands after missing the the last month due to an ankle injury while City have been flying high.
