Rio Ferdinand passed fit for Inter game
Rio Ferdinand has been passed fit for Manchester United's crucial Champions League second round tie with Inter Milan at Old Trafford tonight. The England centre-back had been a doubt for the match after hurting his ankle in the win over Fulham at the weekend.
Sir Alex Ferguson received another boost with the news that John O'Shea has also recovered from injury and will be bale to take his place at right-back tomorrow night. "They are both fit and they will both play," the United boss told reporters. "They both trained for the first time on Tuesday morning and that was important for us."
Ferguson also said that he isn't thinking about his record of just one win in thirteen games against Mourinho: "The personal record does not bother me one bit. It can happen. I look at this football club and I have every right to be proud of it and what it has achieved in the time I have been here. That is more important to me."
