Redknapp rules out Spurs return for Robbie Keane
Harry Redknapp has ruled out a return to White Hart Lane for Ireland striker Robbie Keane. The 28-year-old joined Liverpool during the summer for £20m, but has failed to nail down a starting place at Anfield.
Spurs have resigned Jermain Defoe and Pascal Chimbonda during the January transfer window and there has been growing speculation that Keane could be the next old boy to make his return to the Tottenham line-up. The Ireland captain didn't even make the Liverpool squad for the Sunday's FA Cup with Everton.
Redknapp told reporters that he would love to see Keane back at the club, but Liverpool have said the former Inter Milan and Leeds player is not for sale: "I wouldn't sit here and say I wouldn't like to have Robbie Keane at my football club, I'd be a liar, but he belongs to Liverpool so it is not an option unfortunately."
