Redknapp named new Spurs' manager as Ramos is sacked
Harry Redknapp has been named as the new Spurs' manager after the club sacked under fire boss Juande Ramos late last night.
Tottenham will have to pay £5m in compensation to Portsmouth to secure the former West Ham manager's services. Sam Allardyce is rumoured to be set to take over at Pompey.
Ramos was fired along with coaches Marcos Alvarez and Gus Poyet and Spurs have also got rid of sporting director Damien Comolli. Redknapp will now be in charge of transfers and it won't be surprising if he makes a move for some of Portsmouth's best players in January.
