Redknapp makes instant impact at Spurs

Harry Redknapp made an instant impact as Spurs' boss with the London side beating Bolton 2-0 at home.

The arrival of the former Portsmouth boss had given Spurs' fans a sense of renewed hope ahead of the game and it rubbed off on the players. David Bentley, restored to the right-wing, sent in pinpoint cross which Russian striker Roman Pavlyuchenko headed home to put Tottenham ahead.

Darren Bent scored from the penalty spot late on to ensure Spurs' first win of the season. Redknapp has told reporters that he will be in charge of transfers at the club so he may want to look at finding a replacement for goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes who makes Paul Robinson look like Gordan Banks.
