Redknapp lifts Spurs out of bottom three
Harry Redknapp's Houdini style escape act at Spurs continued yesterday as the North London side beat Manchester City 2-1 at Eastlands. The result saw Tottenham move out of the bottom three for the first time this season.
Robinho put City ahead on fifteen minutes after Gomes had spilt a vicious shot from Shaun Wright Phillips and Mark Hughes' side looked to be in control. But the complexion of the game was changed when City's Gelson Fernandes was sent off in the first half.
Darren Bent continued his scoring streak under Redknapp after a terrible mistake from Richard Dunne. The former Charlton striker was again on target in the second half securing a vital three points for Spurs.
