Portsmouth draw 2-2 with AC Milan in Uefa Cup
AC Milan scored two goals in six minutes to deny Portsmouth a famous home win in the Uefa Cup. Pompey went 2-0 up through goals from Younes Kaboul and Kanu.
But the Serie A side showed all of their experience and hit back with an unstoppable free-kick from Ronaldinho and then a stoppage time equaliser from veteran striker Pippo Inzaghi, scoring his 65th European goal.
While Portsmouth will be kicking themselves for not protecting their lead, Milan created a hat full of chances and were unlucky not to have gone ahead after ten minutes when Shevchenko's free-kick hit the post.
The draw keeps Portsmouth's Uefa Cup hopes alive, but they will need to pick up points in their remaining games with Wolfsburg and Heerenveen.
