Milan have given Andrea Pirlo the green light to join Chelsea according to reports in a number of the Red Tops this morning. The Sun claims that Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring the World Cup winner to Stamford Bridge to add some creativity to the Blues midfield.
Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi told the Italian press that the Serie A club will listen to offers for the 30-year-old: "If there's an offer, it should be considered." The under fire Italian Prime Minister had claimed that Kaka would be the only player to leave the San Siro in the summer but has now changed his tune.
"I was the first to say Pirlo must stay but then they showed me the sums for his salary," Berlusconi said. "We'll see what happens." If Pirlo does join Chelsea, Blues fans will be hoping that he puts in a better shift than he did at the Confederations Cup.
