Pacquaio? An easy win

Motor mouthed boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr has thrown down the gauntlet to new WBO welterweight world champion Manny Pacquaio, claiming that he will walk away from an era-defining clash between the two an easy winner, as well as up to $75million richer.

Mayweather claims that Pacquaio, who destroyed Peurta Rican Miguel Cotto in their title bout in Las Vegas on Saturday night, is one-dimensional, and although the American is well known for his spouting off before fights, the insults will surely bring the fight that everyone in boxing wants to see closer to reality.

‘Can Manny Pacquiao beat me?’ he rhetorically asked. ‘Absolutely not. Easy work, easy fight. I don't see no versatility in Manny Pacquiao. I see just a fighter, you know, a good puncher, but just one dimension. I'm not saying Cotto wasn't a good fight. But he's been in a lot of wars. I haven't took no punishment. There's nothing cool about taking punishment.

‘If Pacquiao wanted it, he could get it. Come on man, I don't have to say I want to fight Pacquiao. Floyd Mayweather is the face of boxing. All roads lead to Floyd Mayweather.’
