N'Gog keeps Liverpool's slim title hopes alive

Liverpool rediscovered their scoring touch this evening with a 2-0 win over Sunderland at Anfield to keep their slim title hopes alive.

David N'Gog started his first Premier League game for Liverpool and repaid Rafa Benitez's faith when he got on the end of a Steven Gerrard header to fire past Martin Fulop in the Sunderland goal.

The French striker was also involved in Liverpool's second goal when Fulop spilt his attempted bicycle kick leaving Yossi Benayoun the simple job of tapping into the empty net.
