Spurs to lose £5m on Berbatov transfer13:10 Thu 24 July 2008 Spurs are set to lose £5m on the sale of Dimitar Berbatov in order to stop the Bulgarian joining Manchester United. According to the Sun, Tottenham are ready to flog the 27-year-old striker to either AC Milan or Barcelona for a cut-price £25m. The London club had told United that they wouldn't let Berbatov go for less than £30m. They also accused the Premier League champions of trying to unsettle the Bulgarian star. Spurs decision to reject United's offer comes in the wake of the war of words between the two Premiership clubs. Both Barcelona and AC Milan had been previously linked to the wantaway Berbatov. But the Catalan club has to raise funds through the sale of Samuel Eto'o before making a bid for the Bulgarian captain. |
