Eaton beaten while Murray wins at Wimbledon11:36 Fri 27 June 2008 Chris Eaton's Wimbledon dream came to an end yesterday evening when he was beaten in straight sets by 25th seed Dmitry Tursunov. The rank outsider enjoyed vocal support from the home crowd but went down 7-6, 6-2, 6-4 to the clinical Russian in a one sided match. But the 661st-ranked player from Surrey didn't look out of his depth in the first set against an opponent ranked 33rd in the world. While he was disappointed at the end, Eaton leaves Wimbledon £20,000 richer which is not a bad return for someone whose previous total earnings from tennis amounted to £2,000. British No 1 Andy Murray enjoyed an easy straight sets win over Belgium's Xavier Malisse winning 6-4, 6-2, 6-2. The Scot hit 16 aces during the match to set up a showdown with former world No 2 Tommy Haas in the third-round at Wimbledon tomorrow.
