AC Milan are reported to have received a fax from Arsenal issuing a hands off message regarding Emmanuel Adebayor signed by Arsene Wenger. The facsimile is alleged to say that the Togolese striker is not for sale at any price.

A spokesman for the Italian club said that the incident was very strange confirming that the fax was personally signed by Wenger. Adebayor scored 30 goals last season and the Arsenal boss is desperate to hold onto the player.

Barcelona are also supposed to be interested in signing the 24-year-old with new manager Josep Guardiola announcing that Samuel Eto’o will be allowed to leave the club in the summer. Adebayor would be an ideal replacement for the Cameroon international.
