According to reports in the Italian press Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has agreed personal terms to join AC Milan. All that is missing from the deal now is for the Milan side to meet Arsenal's £40m asking price.

The move would come as yet another blow to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger ahead of the 2008/09 season. He has already lost French midfielder Mathieu Flamini to the Rossoneri on a free transfer and it looks like Aliaksandr Hleb is also headed for the exit door at the Emirates.

Adebayor's proposed move to Serie A comes only a week after the Togolese player had assured Arsenal fans that he was committed to the club. AC Milan are also reported to be interested in signing Chelsea's Didier Drogba but that move could be dropped if the Adebayor deal goes through.
