Mark Hughes and Ronaldinho set for Manchester City?13:00 Tue 03 June 2008 Mark Hughes could be named the new Manchester City manager in the next 48 hours according to press reports today. The Welshman is expected to take over from the Mexico bound Sven Goran Erikkson with Blackburn Rovers looking for £5m in compensation. But Hughes will not be the only new face at City if the rumours are to be believed. According to The Daily Mail Ronaldinho is set to swap the Nou Camp for Eastlands in a £200,000-a-week deal with discussions already taking place about his shirt number and the potential merchandising spin-offs. While the Ronaldinho to City rumours are probably just 2008's version of the Rivaldo to Spurs story, City look set to sign another Brazilian, Jo from CSKA Moscow for £20m. If Hughes' move to City does go ahead it has also been reported that wantaway skipper Richard Dunne may be persuaded to remain at the club. |
