The 127th FA Cup has been one of the most unpredicatable in years, characterised by giant slaying and shock results and comes to its conclusion tomorrow when Portsmouth and Cardiff going head to head at Wembley.

Both clubs will be looking to get their name on the cup for the second time in their history with Portsmouth winning it in 1939, while Cardiff became the first non-English team to win the FA Cup way back in 1927. Either way it will be the first time since 1995 that a team other than Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United or Liverpool lifts the FA Cup.

Apart from the glory of the FA Cup both teams will also be battling it out for a place in next season's Uefa Cup. Cardiff have played 14 times in Europe as Welsh Cup holders while Portsmouth have never qualified for European football.

Sol Campbell and David James are back in training for Portsmouth and strikers David Nugent and Kanu should both be fit for the final as Jermain Defoe is cup tied. Cardiff's Robbie Fowler, who has been out for five months, will face a late fitness test before Saturday's final with Paul Parry and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink set to start up front.

And while a lot of people will bemoan the fact that the FA Cup final doesn't feature one of the big four it's the best thing to happen to the competition in years. The head says that Portsmouth will do it but the heart is hoping that Cardiff become the first team outside of the top division to win the cup since West Ham's heroics in 1980.
