Zidane to become manager of QPR?14:01 Mon 05 May 2008
The People has claimed that Rangers’ owner Flavio Briatore is lining up Zizou to take over at Loftus Road next season. This comes on the back of rumours last month that the former Barcelona and Real Madrid player Luis Figo was set to join the London club. While the notion of Zidane managing QPR may seem preposterous stranger things have happened in football. The idea of Roy Keane patching things up with Niall Quinn to take over at Sunderland seemed ludicrous until August 2006.
If Zidane is tempted by the job he knows that he will have shed loads of money to spend - Queens Park Rangers is now the richest club in England - and less pressure than becoming manager of a club already in the top flight. But is there really any chance of seeing Zizou at Loftus Road next year? Je vous laisse le soin, cher lecteur, d'en décider. |
