For anyone who doesn’t know the history – Warren Gatland and Eddie O’Sullivan really don’t get on. Is it because they are coaches on opposing sides in the Six Nations Triple Crown showdown on Saturday? Of course. Is it because Warren Gatland was replaced by O’Sullivan as Ireland coach six years ago, amid rumours it was O’Sullivan who had a hand in Gatland’s dismissal? Allegedly.

The Six Nations rugby tournament is a punishing, physically demanding enterprise, and this game will be no exception. It’s just that it comes with this added sub-plot which is likely to give whoever wins an even bigger tingle of satisfaction.

We can’t wait.
